Gensler designed Western Union’s new headquarters at the Denver Technological Center, which was a 23.225 sqm campus on eight of the sixteen floors of the building. In order to encourage community across the 1,300 employees between the eight floors, Gensler gave each level a unique geographical identity, inspired by the regions where Western Union has a meaningful presence in. Among the inspirations are souks from the Middle East, a Singaporean nightmarket, and a North American coffee bar. The different visual identities motivate employees to explore their campus and interact with their coworkers. A presentation area with configurable seating also features stadium seating that leads up to the executive level. Trace® Straight ceiling panels with NOWN’s Inline lighting help conceal the building systems overhead as well as supplement the daylight from the large windows.
